Gloria Hart

Gloria Hart was born in White Hall, Illinois, on June 22, 1932. She died on April 21, 2016, at the age of 83. Gloria valiantly fought Alzheimer’s for 10 years and in the end, lung cancer. She died at the Stratford Memory Care in Phoenix, Arizona. The entire staff at the Stratford including Hospice of the Valley provided excellent care and went above and beyond to make her feel at home and made the last years of her life some of the most loving and comfortable.

Her blue eyes, beautiful smile, impeccable makeup, endless energy and witty sense of humor will be remembered by all who ever knew her.

Gloria is survived by her only daughter, Vonnie VanHoose, and son-in-law Matthew VanHoose, who was her “Rock” and who gave her so much comfort and love. She is also survived by one grandson, Benjamin VanHoose that she adored and loved, and his wife Kristel VanHoose. Teagan and Harper are her two great-grandchildren that unfortunately she did not remember meeting.

A special service will be held May 6, 2016, at the Stratford in Phoenix.

Matthew and Vonnie would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the community for their endless comforting words and support to us during this 10-year journey. We could not have gotten through it all without your support.

Mom, your spirit will live forever in our heart. Your love was truly invaluable and unforgettable.
