Mildred Louise Arnold
Mildred, wife of former Rifle City Councilman Alvan John Arnold, passed away on June 16, 2015, at LaRosa Assisted Living in Tucson, AZ. She was born to Ivel and Ester (Jensen) Johnson on March 28, 1938, and married Al on Jan. 26, 1957. They had six children and a wonderful life together, moving often, and making many friends. A service was held, June 19 at the Sunflower Community Center near her home in the Marana suburb of Tucson. Mildred was cremated and buried next to Al and her parents in Tucson.
Mildred was a master of all, wife, mother, relocation specialist, sorority sister, school crossing guard, gardener (irises were her favorite), inn and restaurant owner, and an excellent cook; which led to a catering career in Rifle and Tucson. In remembrance of Mildred, enjoy a meal like Mildred would prepare, reminisce with fellow friends, and think of her when viewing irises.
Mildred is survived by her children Steve (Shelly), Ed (Annette), Jean (Greg) Read, Janet (Leo) Blea, and Carol Anderson; grandchildren Drew (Anna) and Jordan Arnold, Mike (Alyssa) and Matt (Kara) Arnold; Lauren and Julia Read; Sammy Blea and Jenny (Steve) Sandoval; and Brianna and Noah Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband Al and son Mark.
