North Rifle water break

A main water line serving North Rifle broke at approximately 11:45 a.m. Friday, April 11, near the intersection of East 26th Street and Meadow Circle.

According to a brief city news release, the break caused brief, temporary water service outages; however water pressure was expected to remain low in the Palomino Park and Deerfield Park areas until the water line was fully restored. Those repairs were expected to be complete around 9 p.m.

The release noted the broken water line has been prone to breaks in recent months, and the city installed a new water line this past February that allowed the water utility to keep residents and businesses in service. Water storage was not compromised and city-wide service was unaffected.
