Rodeo contestants and area residents helped ease the loss of those affected by Front Range flooding at a Saturday, Oct. 12, benefit rodeo at the Garfield County Fairgrounds in Rifle. Barrel racing, team roping and bull riding were featured events. More than $10,000 was collected, which went to five-time World Champion Bareback Rider Bruce Ford of Kersey, who lost everything in the flood waters.
