Readers say thanks
My heart was filled and overflowing by the outpouring of love and support by friends, family and local businesses after my cancer recurrence.
The Texan Bar and the Rifle Moose Lodge worked together to provide an “Around the World Cuisine” dinner and Silent Auction Benefit. Many of my friends and family contributed dishes for the dinner and items for the auction as well as the hours spent decorating and gathering donations.
Many local businesses including Choice Liquors, City Market, WingNutz, Big Kids Corner, Midland Arts and many more contributed. I don’t know all of your names because I was in and out of the hospital during that time, but I appreciate and love all of you.
I would also like to thank everyone for the anonymous donations and acts of love.
A special thanks to my friend Glenda Wesley. She worked many hours and contributed lots but was unable to attend because of her own health issues. Many prayers and hopes for her recovery.
Times like this remind me why I choose to live in “Small Town America”.
