Thanks to Rifle Rotary for ‘Sandstone Arch’

The city of Rifle and Rifle Parks and Recreation thanks Rifle Rotary Club for its contribution to the new “Sandstone Arch” climbing boulder at Metro Park. Rifle Rotary and its members, combined with a Rotary grant, contributed $15,000 to this approximately $18,000 project. The parks and recreation fund covered a portion of the cost of this project, and the Parks and Recreation department joined the city’s Operations and Maintenance department to complete the installation on Aug. 26. The arch is a great addition to passive recreation for youth in Rifle. It’s located between the Rifle Action Park and the Art Dague Pool.
