Thanks from the Rifle Thrift Shop

The Rifle Thrift Shop is enjoying life in its new location. Many volunteers have come forward to assist in the operation. A new wheelchair ramp is being installed and is partially complete by Kelly and Ron Carl. Sherwin Williams donated the paint and Steve Mathews has scraped, sanded and, in general, prepped the little garage building for paint (the weather has not been cooperating for the completion). James Snyder has given countless hours in moving, repairing and general maintenance. Others, of which I do not know their names, have come forward to install the storm door, start the swamp cooler and furnace, and who can guess how many other necessary start up jobs.

We also thank the community for the donations which keep our racks and shelves full. A grant from the Deardorff Foundation will be put to good use as we repair, paint and in general upgrade the property, which was gifted by Carol Gentry.

This all together increases our community involvement and we are planning now for the scholarships to be awarded in the spring. We will keep you appraised of our ongoing progress. Thank you community in general.
