Registrations still being accepted for 2013 Strawberry Shortcut

  

The 36th-annual Strawberry Shortcut will be held June 23 in downtown Glenwood Springs as part of the town’s 116th-annual Strawberry Days festival.

The race will feature at 10K and 5K race, which will start at Centennial Park in Glenwood Springs and end underneath the Grand Avenue Bridge. It will also feature a 1-mile fun run, which will begin on the corner of 9th Street and Colorado Avenue. The 10K begins at 7 a.m., the 5K starts at 8:15 a.m. and the fun run takes place at 9:30 a.m.

Costs are $20 for the 1-mile fun run, and $3 for the 10K or 5K. Any combo of the three races is $35, and the fun run is free with the entry of any other race. Family entries are $75, and each participant receives a T-shirt.



Discounts will be given to runners 13 and younger and 60 and older. Registration fees go up on race day.

A registration booth will be available the week of June 17 at the Bank of Colorado in Glenwood Springs, 901 Grand Avenue. Online registration can be done at http://www.runningguru.com.
