Remembering baby Sarah Ogden

Jed Johnston, fire chaplain with the Grand Valley Fire Protection District, delivers remarks Monday during a dedication ceremony remembering Sarah Ogden, the month-old child beaten to death in her Parachute apartment a year ago to the day. The Remembering Sarah Ogden Committee raised money during that time for a bench that will be placed in Cottonwood Park. Garfield County Coroner Robert Glassmire said the committee is working with the town of Parachute on a set location for the bench in the park. Johnston said the remaining funds will be donated to the River Bridge Regional Center, a nonprofit child advocacy center in Glenwood Springs.
