Retiring American flags
Retiring American flags
The Rifle American Legion Post No. 79 and Rifle Boy Scout Troop Nos. 223 and 221 will be retiring old American flags at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26, at the new stone and grave at the West Garfield Memorial.
You can drop old flags at the Rifle fire station or give them to any America Legion member. The Boy Scouts are also collecting flags.
Better still, bring them to the memorial and see how it is done. We will now be able to have our retirement timed annually with Flag Day, June 14.
You may call me at 970-625-1842 or talk to any American Legion member.
