Few things are more beautiful than a good love story; and how could one forget a love so true and beautiful as the love shared between Gomez and Morticia Addams?

Let us not forget their two endearing children who wreak havoc on all that they come in contact with, as well as the other beloved characters: Uncle Fester, Grandma, Lurch and Thing.

The Addams are making an appearance off TV and on the Rifle High School stage, only this time it is Wednesday who has fallen in love. This weekend, RHS Drama Club will present its first-ever fall musical, “The Addams Family.”

With a production crew and cast of more than 50 students — including set crew, light crew, sound crew, make-up artists and costume designers — the students have been quite busy working on this piece.

This production will show case seniors: Moses Guillen as Gomez, Hattison Rensberry as Wednesday, Celeste Tovar as Grandma, and Miguel Velez-Hermosillo and Miguel Guardado as Lurch; as well as premiere freshmen: Aria Mitchells double-casted as Grandma, and Cristian Grajeda and Oliver Jeffers double-casted as Pugsly.

The show will be performed Nov. 5-7 and Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. Performances end on Saturday Nov. 14 with a matinee at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults; $7 for Garfield Re-2 students, staff, and seniors; as well as a family rate of $30 for families of four with a $3 charge for each additional family member.

The show runtime is 1 hour and 45 minutes with intermission and is recommended for ages 10 and older.
