2014 Strawberry Shortcut by the Numbers

0 — Number of times Adam Rich of Colorado Springs had run the Strawberry Shortcut before winning the 10K and 5K on Sunday.

2 — Number of times Megan Lizotte was the first female to cross the finish line Sunday with her victories in the Strawberry Shortcut 10K and 5K female races.

35 — Number of times Bob Willey had run in the Strawberry Shortcut prior to Sunday’s event. Wiley, however, was the honorary starter for the 5K race following a stroke and his diagnosis of lung cancer.

37 — Number of times the Strawberry Shortcut has taken place, through Sunday.

102 — Number of runners who took part in the 10K race this year.

441 — Number of runners who ran in the 5K, 10K or both on Sunday.

800 — Number of stickers that read the name “Bob” on them. Race director Kevin White distributed them to each race participant, who wore them in honor of Bob Willey.

5,000 — Number of dollars the race will donate to Special Olympics Colorado.
