Annual Day of Infamy snowshoe race set for Dec. 7

The 23rd-annual Day of Infamy Snowshoe Race will be held Dec. 7 at Sunlight Mountain Resort west of Glenwood Springs.

All proceeds from this wonderful community event benefit Garfield County Animal Shelters. Preregistration until 5 p.m. on December 6th can be completed at Summit Canyon Mountaineering in Glenwood Springs, Independence Run and Hike in Carbondale, or Online at http://www.dayofinfamysnowshoerace.org.

Preregistration cost is $20 and $22 the day of the race. Race-day registration begins at 9 a.m., with the race beginning 10 a.m.

Registration includes small goody bag, T-shirt, and raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes at the end of the race. Complimentary rental snowshoes will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and snacks will be provided after the race. Leashed dogs are welcome on trail.
