Annual Day of Infamy Snowshoe Race takes place on Dec. 8

The 22nd-annual Day of Infamy Snowshoe Race will take place this coming Sunday at Sunlight Mountain Resort.

The race will begin at 10 a.m. on Dec. 8, with race-day registration beginning approximately one hour before the race begins. The event will run through Babbish Gulch and will span eight kilometers.

All proceeds from the race go to benefit Colorado Animal Rescue, the Rifle Animal Shelter and Valley Dog Rescue. Friendly dogs on leashes are welcome to come and spectate and, in come cases, even participate.

Cost is $20 for preregistered competitors and $22 on the day of he race. Cost includes the race, a goody bag, a T-shirt and a drawing ticket to win one of several prizes.
