Antonelli breaks into top 10 at State Am
Rifle’s Luke Antonelli moved into the top 10 Saturday after the third round of the Colorado Golf Association State Amateur Championship at Glenmoor Country Club in Englewood.
Antonelli shot a 5-under 66 to move from 25th to ninth with a three-day total of 211. Only Steve Ziegler, in sixth place, shot a lower round Saturday, coming in at 65.
Former Colorado State University player John Hayes, who posted a competitive course-record 64 on Friday, finished the round at 70 and leads the tournament with a three-day total of 202. Derek Tolan, Nate Pettitt and Michael Baird are in a logjam in second place at 205.
The four-day tournament wraps up today, with the final group of leaders set to tee off at 8:57 a.m.
