CARBONDALE – Taylor Arbaney had a solid day both at the plate and in the field Monday to lead the Roaring Fork Rams baseball team to an 11-6 nonleague victory over Bayfield.

Arbaney pitched five innings with six strikeouts and two runs allowed for the victory before being relieved in the sixth by Dan Markoya.

On the offensive side, Arbaney went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs. Jake Boyle added two RBIs and leadoff hitter Max Green did his job by drawing three walks and scoring a pair of runs for the Rams.

Roaring Fork improves to 2-1 overall with the win.

The Rams host Basalt today at 4 p.m. in a Class 3A Western Slope League game.
