Area girls prep soccer athletes represented in recent All-State picks

Several Garfield County and Roaring Fork District high school girls soccer players were represented in the All-State selections announced July 19 by the Colorado High School Activities Association.

The nominations and final selections were for the modified Season D that extended from late April through late June.

In Class 4A, Glenwood Springs High School senior Maya Elias earned honorable mention. On the season, Elias led the 6-2-2 Demons with seven goals.



Earning honorable mention in Class 3A were Roaring Fork High School junior Macey Peery (three goals, seven assists), Coal Ridge senior Libby Tharp (six goals, two assists), Basalt sophomore Sarah Levy (11 goals, three assists) and Basalt senior Samantha Johnston (one goal, one assist).

And earning honorable mention in Class 2A were three Grand Valley High School graduating seniors, goalie Hope Bruhn (save stats not recorded with MaxPreps), Tabitha Call (five goals) and Tylene Diehl (one goal).
