Glenwood Yellow improves to 2-0RIFLE – The Glenwood Springs Soccer Club U-12 girls team earned a 7-0 victory over Rifle Saturday. Morgan Armbruster and Nicole Kontour each tallied a pair of goals, while Emily Gentry, Kenzie Kuhn and Hannah McDermott chipped in one each for Glenwood Yellow.Glenwood improves to 2-0 and travels to play Vail Saturday.• The Glenwood Springs Sharks U-10 girls soccer team captured a pair of victories last weekend. The Sharks opened their season with a 4-1 win over the Glenwood Springs Highlighters. Lilly McSwain scored two goals. Cora Lubchenco and Jackie Knott had one goal each.On Sunday McSwain tallied a trio of goals in a 4-0 shutout over Carbondale Yellow and Knott added a goal.On Sunday McSwain tallied a trio of goals in a 4-0 shutout over Carbondale Yellow and Knott added a goal.
