Coal Ridge High School has openings in the following coaching positions: football (two assistants), volleyball (head coach, two assistants), wrestling (head coach), girls basketball (head coach), boys basketball (head coach, one assistant), cross country (head coach), track and field (head coach, one assistant), cheerleading (head coach) and baseball (head coach, one assistant).

Rifle High School is seeking assistant football coaches for the 2005 season.

Two Glenwood girls soccer teams recorded victories in separate contests last week.

In an intracity battle, Glenwood’s U11 girls edged the U12 team, 1-0. Goalkeeper Connor Adams posted the shutout. Michaela Mansfield scored the game’s only goal with three minutes left in the second half.

In U10 girls action, the Glenwood Lightning Bolts recorded 6-0 and 9-0 wins over Carbondale and Basalt. Daryian Hawkins, Mikaela Richardson and McKenzie Fuller scored their first goals of the season in the Carbondale match.

Jackie Knott and Lilly McSwain each had a hat trick against Basalt. Goalie Rachel Rosenberg was in the net for both shutouts.
