The Lions Clubs of Silt and New Castle are teaming up for the second annual Lions at Lakota Charity Golf Outing Friday at Lakota Canyon Ranch Golf Club. This event is a four-person team scramble limited to the first 72 golfers. A putting contest, lunch, beverages and prizes follow the tournament.

The event benefits local vision care, scholarships for area youth and community needs.

The Girls Basketball Day Camp, run by Girls Hoops Inc., in conjunction with Roaring Fork High School, is June 27 through July 1 in Carbondale.

The camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon (ninth- through 12th-graders next fall) and 1-4 p.m. (fifth- through eighth-graders). The fee is $135 for the four-day camp.

The Carbondale Soccer Club is currently accepting registrations for the fall season. The deadline is today for U10-U14 and July 15 for U6-U8 players.

Completed registrations and payments received by the deadline will be entered in a raffle that includes two scholarships as prizes.

Dates for the Hoop D’Ville 3-on-3 basketball tournaments at the outside courts at Sayre Park have been set. The first event, a morning-to-afternoon affair, starts at 8 a.m. Saturday. The night tournament is July 23.

The open-age tournaments feature players and teams ranging in age from 15-50.

Lakota Canyon Ranch Golf Club offers a women’s golf clinic from 6-7 p.m. June 14-16. The clinic is open to all ability levels and is limited to the first 15 players. The cost is $55 for all three sessions.

Glenwood Springs High School is looking for a freshmen volleyball coach and a junior varsity boys soccer coach beginning in the fall.

Carbondale Recreation offers an organized introductory baseball program for first-time players 3-4 years old. The program is from 3:30-4:15 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, June-13-29, at Miners Park. The cost is $45 and includes a kit with a glove, Koosh ball, baseball, bat and skills book. The registration deadline is June 10.

Tee ball for children ages 5-6 years starts June 14 and runs through July 14. The cost is $35.
