To offset the cost of a summer instructional camp, the Roaring Fork High School cheerleading squad will serve as waiters and waitresses at White House Pizza in Carbondale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 14.A portion of the income from the event, along with all tips, will benefit the cheerleaders. As part of the event, diners can purchase raffle tickets. Raffle prizes include four tickets to a Colorado Rockies baseball game, and 2005-06 season family passes to Roaring Fork High School athletic events.Information: Jessica Beery, 948-9658.
The Rifle Bears football team seeks an assistant coach to start in the fall. Coal Ridge High School also has an opening for an assistant football coach, as well as a head baseball coach, head track and field coach, and assistant volleyball coach. Information: Rick Schmitz, 309-1591 or 625-9462.
