Three Rivers Youth Football will hold its football appreciation day from 9 a.m. to noon today in the Glenwood Springs High School auxiliary gym.

The event consists of a drills and 7-on-7 games for kids in third through sixth grades from 9:30 to noon, an informational meeting for parents from 9:30-10:30 a.m., and a coaches clinic from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Coaches from Aspen, Basalt, Roaring Fork, Glenwood Springs, Coal Ridge and Rifle high schools will also be present at the camp and accessible to parents.

The event wraps up with a pizza lunch at noon.

Three Rivers Youth Football is still accepting registration for the upcoming season and looking for volunteer coaches.

Rifle’s Luke Antonelli shot a second-round 70 to make the cut and move up to 25th place at the Colorado Golf Association State Amateur Championship Friday.

Antonelli improved by five strokes from his first-round score for a two-day total of 145 at the par-71 Glenmore Country Club in Englewood.

John Hayes, who shot a competitive course-record 64 on Friday, leads the event at 132. Nate Pettitt is in second at 135, and Scott Mendelsohn is third in 137.

The tournament continues through Sunday.
