Rifle High School graduate Luke Antonelli finished in a tie for 20th place in this weekend’s 72-hole Colorado Golf Association state amateur tournament, held at the Glenmore Country Club in Englewood.Antonelli, representing the Rifle Creek Golf Club, completed the tournament with a total of 290. John Hayes, of the Columbine Country Club, won the event with a 14-under par total of 270, four shots up on runner-up Darrin Hall.

The 29th annual Basalt half-marathon is scheduled to start at 7:45 a.m. at the base of the Ruedi Dam.Registration for the race will be held at Basalt Middle School from 6:15 to 7 a.m. Buses will leave promptly at 7 a.m. to take runners to the starting line.Runners can register online at or by picking entry forms at local athletic stores. Proceeds from the event benefit the Basalt Lions Club scholarship and athletic programs.Information: Ron Lund, 927-3524.
