The second rodeo of the area Little Britches winter series will take place at the Garfield County Fairgrounds indoor arena Saturday and Sunday.
Action on Saturday starts at 11 a.m. Sunday events begin at 9 a.m.
Events for youngsters, ages 5-18, include competitions in barrel racing, goat tying, breakaway and team roping, steer wrestling and bull riding.

The Advocate Safehouse, one of the major sponsors of the annual Mother’s Day Mile race, is taking applications for the position of the event’s race director. The temporary, part-time position runs from February through May 2006.

Local amateur skiers and snowboarders are invited to participate in a national open qualifier on Saturday for open slots in a World Championship event at Crested Butte Ski Resort.
Cost is $25. Proceeds benefit The Huega Center.
