Burning Mountain Bowl, 880 Castle Valley Blvd., in New Castle, is hosting a couples’ Sweetheart Tournament Saturday night. The tournament features a five-game format with a $60 entry fee per couple or $100 per couple to include prime rib dinners.

Half of the entry fee will go toward the prize fund. The optional dinner starts at 7 p.m., and the tournament starts at 9 p.m. Sign up at the front desk, or call 984-2739 to register or for more information.

The Glenwood Springs Community Center will host a beginner to hi-intermediate adult hockey training session Saturday, Feb. 25, at its ice rink.

The training will include more than four hours of on-ice and class-room instruction, and a yoga session. It will cover explosive/efficient skating, tight turns, acceleration, agility, stick handling, shot mechanics, puck protection and more.



The instructors will be from Planet Hockey and the cost is $99.
