The Glenwood Springs Parks & Recreation Department is currently accepting team registrations for spring adult coed and men’s softball leagues. The recreation department offers leagues in competitive, D-competitive and D-recreational divisions for coed teams. Men’s leagues consists of competitive and D-competitive divisions.League play begins April 10 and runs for 10 weeks. Games are played at Two Rivers and Sayre parks.Team fees range from $375 to $450. Deadline is Friday, March 31. A manager’s meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at the Community Center.Information: Shannon, 384-6314.

The Glenwood Springers youth track club is accepting applications for the position of head coach for the 2006 summer season. The Springers are a nonprofit, US Track & Field-sanctioned program consisting of youths, ages 8-18.Information: Mike Kishimoto, 945-1425; 379-3365.

The seventh annual Sequoia Glen 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, March 11. The race begins and ends west of the Glenwood Mall on Donegan Road. Entry fee is $10. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on race day.The race is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Proceeds benefit the St. Stephen’s School Library and computer lab.Information: 945-0979; 945-7746
