The Carbondale and Glenwood Springs parks and recreation departments are accepting registrations for their summer youth baseball programs. Deadline to register for either program is Friday.

Registrations for youth summer camps in boys and girls basketball, baseball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, volleyball and weight training at Coal Ridge and Rifle high schools are 3:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at RHS and 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Coal Ridge High.

Area youth interested in joining the Sopris Barracudas youth swim team are encouraged to attend the 2006 season-opening swim and stroke clinic, May 1-5.
Sessions are 5:30-6:30 p.m. nightly at the Glenwood Springs Community Center pool.
The clinic is open to youth, from kindergarten through 12th grade, who can swim at least one pool length.
Cost, including pool admission, is $35 for the week and $25 per person for each additional child from the same family. Info: Amanda Moore, 384-2922.
The USA Volleyball Coaches Cadre will conduct a weekend-long instruction clinic in Glenwood Springs May 12-14. The clinic is open for individuals of all experience levels who want to learn more about the game.
