Basalt Soccer Club is looking for people interested in coaching for the fall season. This is a paid position. If interested, call 927-0523 ext. 507.The fall soccer teams also have a few spots open for players. If you have not registered, do so immediately. Registration forms are available at Basalt Elementary School in the cafeteria.

Rifle and Coal Ridge High Schools are coming together to host session two of the Bear/Titan golf camp this summer Aug. 1-3 from 9-11 a.m. at Rifle Creek Golf Course. It is open to all kids ages 6 and up and the cost is $30. Same-day registration will start at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 1.Information: Tad or Duke at 625-1093.

There will be an inline skating obstacle course and BMX bike races for all ages Aug. 2 at Carbondale’s Roller Hockey Rink Park, as well as lots of fun and free food. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. and go till dark.Information: Becky, 704-4116.



The Rifle Grand Slam Softball Camp will take place Aug. 6-9 at Deerfield Park in Rifle. It is open to ninth- through 12th-graders. The cost is $60. Sixth- through eighth-graders are also welcome.The camp will go from 5-8 p.m. each night. Make check payable to Rifle Recreation and send them to 2002 Railroad Ave., Rifle, CO 81650.Information: Rifle head softball coach Cindy Skinner, 625-5079 or 625-7777.

Football and volleyball camps are coming up for Rifle High School.The football camp is Aug. 6-10 for grades 1-12 ($40 for one child, $60 for two, $75 for three). The volleyball camp is Aug. 6-10 for grades 2-12 ($50 for one child or $20 a day, $75 for two, $105 for three).All grade levels are based on the 2007-08 school year.Information: 625-7737.
