The Colorado Mountain College men’s soccer team is opening its 2007 season with an exhibition game on Friday night at 9 p.m. at Gates Soccer Complex at the Spring Valley Campus. CMC will take the field against all-stars from the Glenwood’s La Liga organization.The event is free to the public. Coal Ridge Classic teeing off Sept. 14The Coal Ridge Classic, a golf tournament to benefit Coal Ridge High School, will take place Sept. 14 at Lakota Canyon Golf Club. It will be a four-player scramble format and will start with a shotgun start at 2 p.m.If you sign up before Sept. 1, the cost is $100 per person and includes 18 holes, golf cart, food and beverage, as well as prizes. After Sept. 1, the fee increases to $125.Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. There will be prizes for top finishers including team prizes and a hole-in-one prize.Information: 230-0477.
