Moe’s Southwest Grill is hosting a fundraiser for the Sopris Barracudas on June 19. A portion of the night’s proceeds will be donated to the Glenwood Springs-based swim club.
Huzzah! Play ball!
Vintage base ball, that is. The Frontier Historical Society and Museum is gearing up for its annual base ball match between the Glenwood Sluggers and the Yampah Stars on June 27 and is looking for men interested in playing.
Practice sessions are June 19 and June 24 at 6 p.m. in the field between Glenwood Springs High School and the Roaring Fork River.
Fall developmental and advanced Glenwood Springs Soccer Club teams are forming now for girls boys 4-18 years old. The deadline to register is June 30. Late fees apply beginning July 1 and roster positions cannot be guaranteed.
The season begins in late August and continues through October.

Glenwood Springs Soccer Club is offering two summer soccer camps, one July 14-18 (register by June 30) and the second Aug. 4-8 (register by July 15). Both camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Glenwood Park Soccer Field and are for children 5-13 years old.
Space is limited for both camps so register quickly. The cost is $110.

The 17th annual Realtor Invitational Scholarship fundraiser golf tournament is slated for Aug. 1 at Battlement Mesa Golf Course.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Every year, the Glenwood Springs Association of Realtors Scholarship Committee awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Garfield County, and all proceeds from the tournament go toward that fund.
The cost is $400 for a four-person team and includes continental breakfast, an awards lunch, range balls, beverages on the course and 18 holes of golf plus a cart.

The Glenwood Springs Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registration for adult men’s and women’s as well as coed fall softball leagues. Competitive, D-comp and D-rec leagues will be offered for men, and a competitive league will be offered for women and coed. League play begins on Monday, July 28, and will last between 7-8 weeks followed by an end of season tournament. Team fees range from $400 to $500. The registration will last until leagues are full.
