Buddy Werner ski program starts SaturdaySkiers and snowboarders ages 7-12 can sign up for the 2005 Buddy Werner ski program at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sunlight Mountain Resort Lodge.The program is for intermediate-level skiers and snowboarders who want to improve their skills. Training sessions are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays at Sunlight Mountain throughout the ski season.Information: Bob Lockard, 963-7873/947-9250; http://www.sunlightskiteam.org.Hour of Power set for FridayThe Glenwood Springs Parks and Recreation Department’s Hour of Power bouldering competition will take place Friday at the Community Center’s climbing wall.There will be competitions for male and female climbers ages 7-11 (ultra juniors), 12-19 (juniors) and 20 and-above (open).Entry fee is $17 for juniors and $20 for open division competitors.Registration will be the day of the event. The climbing wall will be closed Jan. 5-6 for event setup.Information: 384-6301.
