GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” Earn extra cash working soccer games this spring. Games will be played in April and May all over the Roaring Fork Valley and referees are in demand.

A re-certification clinic for referees who need a 2009 renewal class will be held March 20 in Glenwood Springs (5-10 p.m., $50 fee). A Grade 9 certification clinic for new referees will be held March 21 in Glenwood Springs (9 a.m.-2 p.m., $55 fee).

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” Accelerate Human Performance in Glenwood Springs is holding a class called Varsity Sports for local athletes.

The class will train eighth- to 12th-grade students in speed, quickness and power and is for in-sport or post-sport athletes. Classes are Wednesdays and Fridays beginning in March.
