GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” Registration is now open and is almost at capacity for the summer training program of the 2009 Roaring Fork Women’s Triathlon Team. Registration forms and information can be found at http://www.roaringforktriteam.com.
A question-and-answer orientation meeting will be on April 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of Glenwood Medical Associates (1830 Blake Ave., Glenwood Springs). The 14-week program will begin May 6 and continue through Aug. 2, culminating with the Tri for the Cure Triathlon in Denver.
The team promotes fitness, fun and philanthropy by learning the basics of swimming, cycling and run/walking in a supportive environment.
Registration is limited, and athletes of varied abilities are welcome. Functional fitness abilities are necessary.
GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado ” The Glenwood Springs Ice U13 boys soccer team traveled to Grand Junction last Saturday and picked up a 6-0 win.
NEW CASTLE, Colorado ” The New Castle Cup soccer tournament, hosted by New Castle Recreation and run in conjunction with 5 A Side Soccer, is coming to New Castle on May 3.
Registration for U8 through U18 teams is $150 and must be completed by April 27.
People can sign up for the June 6-7 Emily Johnson Play it Forward 3v3 soccer tournament at the New Castle Cup.
