GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” Glenwood Medical Associates is sponsoring free sports physicals for Glenwood Springs High School and Glenwood Springs Middle School student-athletes at GMA on May 11. The location is not GSMS, as previously reported.
Middle-schoolers will be admitted from 6:30-7:15 p.m. High-schoolers should report at 7:15 p.m. Physical forms can be picked up at the schools.
Dr. Bruce Lippman Sr. has organized this event for more than 20 years with the help of many local physicians who donate their time.

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” The Stone Alliance Film Tour is coming to the Roaring Fork Valley on April 29. The 7 p.m. show will be held in the new, state-of-the-art auditorium at Glenwood Springs High School and is a fundraiser to help bring a climbing wall and a climbing program to the school. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door (doors open at 6:30 p.m.).
Three internationally celebrated climbing filmmakers will join forces to bring the audience some of the best climbing action from all over the globe. The show features segments from Masters of Stone 6, The Players and Herakleia for more than an hour and a half climbing action.
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” Registration is now open for the May 10 Mother’s Day Mile. The one-mile race starts at 1 p.m. and is a fundraiser for the programs of the Advocate Safehouse Project.
In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Mother’s Day Mile, recognition will be given to the Garfield County First Responders, who have maintained safety for the staff, volunteers and clients. First responders of Garfield County are invited to attend with complimentary registration.
All participants will receive a goody bag, a finish-line rose, homemade pie and a chance to win age-group awards from Eldoret, Kenya. A gift basket silent auction will be held under the big tent.
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” Register now for soccer camps sponsored by the Glenwood Springs Soccer Club.
Three summer sessions for kids include: NSA Camp, June 15-18; USC Camp, July 13-17; and USC Camp, Aug. 10-14. A coaching clinic for adults will be offered by NSA June 15-17.
