Basalt soccer shuts down Oysters 5-0

BASALT – The Basalt Longhorns soccer team remained undefeated in the 3A Western Slope League play with a 5-0 victory over Colorado Rocky Mountain School Tuesday.

Basalt’s Ryan Thompson and Brady Kahn each notched a pair of goals for the Longhorns. Spencer Cleveland accounted for Basalt’s other score. Robbie Parker was in net for the shutout.

The Longhorns move to 2-0 in conference (2-2 overall). Basalt travels to Paonia today and hosts Faith Christian out of the Denver area Saturday at 11 a.m.

Colorado Rocky Mountain School travels to Vail Mountain school today and faces Eagle Valley at home on Saturday at 11 a.m.
