Boyle hurls no-hitter

BASALT ” Jake Boyle pitched his second no-hitter in as many seasons in the first game of Roaring Fork’s doubleheader sweep of Basalt here on Saturday.

The Ram senior was 4-for-4 at the plate with nine RBI’s along with a three-run home run while fashioning the no-hitter and went 7-for-8 in the twin bill.

In game two, Taylor Arbaney earned his third victory of the season leading Roaring Fork to an 11-5 win.

After Saturday’s wins, Roaring Fork is 10-4 on year and has moved into fourth place in the Class 3A Western Slope League with a 5-4 league mark.

Roaring Fork has a single-game league home contest with Cedaredge on tap Tuesday afternoon followed by road doubleheader at Aspen on Friday.
