CARE set to host first Dog Day 5K on Saturday, Aug. 17
Colorado Animal Rescue (CARE) is organizing the first running of the Dog Day 5K, which is scheduled for Saturday.
The race will be run in Two Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs and will benefit the shelter animals at CARE.
It’s intended to be a fun event to run or walk, and participants are encouraged to bring their furry friends along.
Furry friends, however, must be friendly and kept on a leash during the event.
Drinks and snacks will be provided at the race. Dog Day 5K tote bags will be given to the first 150 people who enter the race.
Preregistration is $20 until today, and race-day registration will be $22. Children 8 and under are free. Registration can be done at http://www.coloradoanimalrescue.org, at CARE, or at Summit Canyon Mountaineering in Glenwood Springs.
