Cedaredge takes down Titans
Cedaredge got a win in its homecoming game in front of a packed house on Friday night, defeating the Coal Ridge Titans 35-24.
In the first half, the score went back-and-forth with both teams taking turns with the lead. Coal Ridge went up 18-12 in the first quarter, only to fall 29-24 at halftime.
The Titans (0-3 overall) never saw the end zone in the second half, but Cedaredge scored once more to seal the victory.
Coal Ridge will be on the road again next Friday to play the Class 2A Western Slope League’s top squad in Olathe.
In Class 1A play, Grand Valley hosted Rangely on Friday night, beating the Panthers 41-0.
