Coal Ridge boys open 3A state tourney Thursday

FORT COLLINS, Colorado ” The final eight Class 3A boys basketball teams left standing learned their state basketball tournament itinerary on Sunday.

A win would put the Titans (21-3) in the semifinals against either perennial powerhouse Faith Christian (23-1) or Western Slope League rival Aspen (23-1) at 7 p.m. Friday.

Aspen and Faith are squaring off at 8:45 a.m. Thursday in their quarterfinal.

Saturday’s title game is slated for 5:15 p.m. Also scheduled for Saturday is the consolation final (10 a.m.) and third-place game (2 p.m.).
