Crunch time for area prep squads

Local teams are entering vital stretches of their schedules with league battles that will test who will be at the top of the standings. It should be an interesting week with Battle Mountain and Glenwood Springs facing off in three sports, Rifle playing Central in a Thursday night football game and the Glenwood cross country team hosting its home meet on Saturday.

SOCCER – Battle Mountain at Glenwood Springs, 4 p.m.VOLLEYBALL – Roaring Fork at Coal Ridge, 6 p.m.



FOOTBALL – Rifle vs. Grand Junction Central at Stocker Stadium, 7 p.m.SOCCER – (Tentative) Glenwood at Rifle, 4 p.m.SOFTBALL – Rifle at Palisade, 5 p.m.VOLLEYBALL – Battle Mountain at Glenwood Springs, 6:30 p.m.

FOOTBALL – West Grand at Grand Valley, 7:30 p.m. (The way things are looking, this could be a battle for the league title.)- Gunnison at Coal Ridge, 7 p.m. (the Titans’ homecoming game)- Aspen at Roaring Fork, 7 p.m. – Glenwood Springs at Battle Mountain, 7 p.m.VOLLEYBALL – Gunnison at Coal Ridge, 6 p.m.
