Cudas’ home meet starts today in Glenwood Springs

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” Some 260 swimmers will pass through the Glenwood Springs Community Center pool waters this weekend for the 37th annual Sopris Invitational swim meet, the home meet of the local Sopris Barracudas youth swim club.

It will be the first home meet for the program’s new head coach, Damon Garrison, who moved from Virginia to lead the team in early May.

The action starts today at 4:30 p.m. with 400-yard individual medley and 800-yard freestyle events. Swimmers return to the pool beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday morning and then at 1 p.m. Sunday.
