Demons cruise to win
CRAIG – The Glenwood Springs girls swim and dive teams rolled over host Moffat County, 114-70, in a dual meet between the two Western Slope schools here Saturday.
The Demons won 11 of the meet’s 12 events, including all three swimming relays.
Rachel Rey and Molly Jankovsky won two individual events in the team’s win. Glenwood has not lost a meet to a Western Slope regional opponent in five years.
Rey defeated her closest competition by 10 seconds in the 200-yard freestyle. The sophomore defeated teammate Audrey Schaiberger, 1:12.84 to 1:16.91, in the 100-yard butterfly.
Earlier, Schaiberger won the individual medley in 2:30.37.
Jankovsky’s victories came in the 50 and 100 freestyle, recording marks of 30.27 and 1:07.04, respectively.

Hauskins totaled 243.40 points for first place. Cashel earned third place, and more importantly, a berth to the championship meet by compiling 221.95 points.
Amy Ackerman was second with 230.97 points.
Other individual event winners include Lindsay Snyder’s 1:27.64 finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. Michelle McReynolds bested the rest of the 500-freestyle field, swimming a first-place time of 6:41.55.
