Demons fall to Aspen

ASPEN – The Glenwood Springs girls tennis team lost 5-2 to the Skiers here Monday.

Celeste Cashel defeated Jennifer Leddy 6-1, 6-3 in No. 2 singles.

Rachel Zancanella and Cheree Carver won the No. 4 doubles in a 10-7 super tie-breaker over Maggie Hoffat and Tiegan Walter.

In other singles matches, Aspen’s No. 1, Alex Leddy defeated Courtney McCallum 6-3, 6-0. Jacqueline Pearlson downed Molly Axleson, 6-2, 6-2.

Aspen’s No. 1 doubles team, Nicole Hernandez and Brittany Biebl, defeated Micala O’Leahy and Tessie Tracy 6-2, 6-2.

Jackie Weast and Regina Waltsak lost 7-6, 6-4 in No. 2 doubles and Glenwood’s No. 3 team, Maggie Tolan and Lisa Saathoff, were defeated by Kelly Gallagher and Caitlyn Dunn 6-2, 6-1.
