Demons Smith nets league MVP

Two Rifle Bears soccer players joined six Glenwood Springs players who earned Class 4A Western Slope League honors.

Rifle senior Tai Chaney was named first-team All-WSL, while senior goaltender Nick Worley was named to the honorable mention list.

Glenwood’s Ross Smith was named the league’s most valuable player and other first-team honorees included Buster Bosna, Ian Lochhead and Derek Weller. Defensemen Cisco Tharp and Marcus Bernier were honorable mention all-league players.

Palisade’s Sean Kennedy was named coach of the year.
