Cortez didn’t put up much of a fight on Friday and the offensive machine that is the Glenwood Springs football team took advantage.Playing on Cortez’s turf, the Demons rolled to a 45-12 victory in their Class 3A Western Slope League opener.Glenwood is now 2-0 on the season after defeating Roaring Fork in week one.Glenwood will host nonleague foe Denver West next Friday, in its first home game of the season.Details from the games were unavailable at press time.Around the 3A Western Slope, Palisade defeated Steamboat Springs 28-10 and Moffat County downed Battle Mountain 54-32.
