Early-season pass means free fresh tracks

If you want to get on the slopes early, then you better get your pass early.

Sunlight Mountain Resort is offering a little bonus – in the form of first tracks – for those organized enough to purchase their season passes by Aug. 15.

Skiers or snowboarders who purchase their passes before the deadline will receive free powder passes, which allows the bearer to load the lifts 15 minutes early on snow days of 6 inches or more. After the Aug. 15 deadline, season pass holders can still purchase a powder pass for $50.

The deadline for early-season prices without the powder-pass bonus is Sept. 15. Season passes purchased prior to Sept. 15 are $295 for an adult pass, $250 for a college student, $180 for a student 14-18 years old, $120 for a child 6-13 years and $160 for a young senior (60-69). Sunlight also offers a carefree skier pass for $25 for those 5 and under and 70 and over.

After the Sept. 15 deadline, pass prices jump $100 dollars, with the exception of the adult pass, which costs $450, and the carefree skier pass, which costs $35.

Sunlight also offers early-season discounts on its family season passes and has a number of options for those who don’t need the full season pass. For more information, or to by passes, call 945-7491 or visit http://www.sunlightmtn.com. Passes are also on sale at Sunlight Mountain Ski and Bike Shop at 309 9th St.
