Football turns to spring drills

Area high school football teams joined in a series of 7-on-7 passing drills last weekend, as part of the annual Roaring Fork Football Foundation benefit.

The Roaring Fork Rams, Glenwood Demons and Basalt Longhorns worked on their passing and secondary defense Saturday morning at Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale.

Former NFL stars, in town for the Kickoff Classic golf tournament/benefit, offered tips to the high school players during Saturday’s drills.

The golf tournament at Aspen Glen followed.
