Free tennis lessons, equipment demos Saturday

Free tennis lessons?

And free tennis equipment demos?

Indeed.

Tennis Across America’s promotion will hit Glenwood Springs on Saturday with free tennis lessons – and the opportunity to try out the latest in tennis technology from Wilson Sports.

Phyllis Zilm and Sue Geist, two longtime area tennis players and instructors, will lead the free instruction facet of Tennis Across America.

They will combine to offer free instruction for all ages on Saturday morning at the Sayre Park courts in Glenwood Springs.

The free demo day will be held in conjunction with the tennis instruction.

“We’ll offer free lessons for people who want to play,” Geist said.

A session for ages up to 8 will run from 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Ages 10-12 are invited from 9:30-10 a.m.

Ages 13-16 are invited to participate from 10-11 a.m.

And adults are invited from 11 a.m. to noon.

Plus, Geist said, it’s free.

And the equipment tryouts with the newest in the Wilson tennis line also are free. The demos also will be offered at the Sayre Park courts.
