Glenwood Grizzlies open season with back-to-back wins

Glenwood Springs, Colorado ” Glenwood Springs Grizzlies Hockey Bantam A’s notched back-to-back wins against Denver County Club Hockey this weekend. The season opener saw the Grizzlies pick up a 5-0 win, peppering DCC with 39 shots on goal. Ariana Buxman scored the game winner, with Charles Macaulay and Cameron Dacuma also scoring their first goals of the season. Nathan Haas contributed two tallies in the winning effort, with assists from Boris Kulwiec, Levi Fetterhoff and Cam Avery. Alex Parrish earned the shutout in the league play opener.

The second game saw the Grizzlies and Parrish shut out DCC again, completing the weekend sweep. Scoring came from throughout the lineup with Alejandro Belandria, Joseph Capraro, and Kulwiec adding goals to the team effort. Strong defensive play by Quenton Henry kept the shutout intact during the entire second game.
