Glenwood vs. Rifle soccer match today
Soccer, baseball and golf highlight today’s agenda for high school athletes and their fans.
Locally, Glenwood Springs will host Rifle in a girls soccer showdown in the 4A Western Slope League.
The Demons, 5-1-0 overall and 5-0-0 in league play, are coming off an 8-2 nonconference win at Aspen on Tuesday.
The Bears are sailing after a 5-0 win over Moffat County last weekend.
Today’s varsity soccer match is set for approximately 6 p.m. at Stubler Memorial Field. A JV match at 4 p.m. will precede the varsity contest.
Also in soccer today, Aspen will play at Roaring Fork at 6 p.m. today in a 3A Western Slope League match in Carbondale.
Carbondale dropped a 3-0 decision to Eagle Valley on Tuesday.
In high school baseball today, Glenwood Springs will play at Battle Mountain (4 p.m.) and Roaring Fork will play at Hotchkiss (4 p.m.) in 4A and 3A league games, respectively.
And in prep golf today, the Cedaredge Invitational is set with numerous area schools participating.
